Hot Fudge Sunday January 16

Sundays bring us the political talk shows. Unsurprisingly, this week is dominated by last weekend’s shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ). If you see something interesting on one of them, jump on the comment board and talk about it. According to Politico, here is the lineup for this week’s shows:

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) (Image via Wikipedia)

Rudy Giuliani (Image via Wikipedia)

This Week (ABC) — Christiane Amanpour hosts a town hall meeting in Tucson with some of those touched by the shooting and its aftermath.

Face the Nation (CBS) — Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), who were with Giffords in her hospital room on Wednesday when she opened eyes for the first time after she was severely wounded. Also Rep. Jeff Flake (R-AZ), former New York Republican Mayor Rudy Giuliani and outgoing Pennsylvania Democratic Governor Ed Rendell.

Gov. Chuck Schumer (Image via Wikipedia)

Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) (Image via Wikipedia)

Meet the Press (NBC) — Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand, Chuck Schumer (D-NY), and Tom Coburn (R-OK).

State of the Union (CNN) — Reps. Tim Murphy (R-PA), Grace Napolitano (D-CA), and panel of mental health professionals discuss the state of mental health services in the United States.

Fox News Sunday — New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty, both considered potential 2012 Republican presidential candidates.

After watching the shows, or getting the rundown on the shows from secondary sources like CNN, come around here to discuss what was said.
