Public Policy Polling released a new poll showing that Donald Trump had fallen rapidly from the top spot to just barely ahead of the number seven spot. I don’t think anyone is really surprised by that. Here are the numbers:
- Huckabee 19%
- Romney 18%
- Gingrich 13%
- Palin 12%
- Paul 8% (tie)
- Trump 8% (tie) [Down from 26%]
- Bachmann 7%
- Pawlenty 5%
This poll was started on the same day of the South Carolina debate and may not reflect any bump that Herman Cain may have experienced. I guess the GOP can tell Trump ‘He’s Fired’ (you knew I couldn’t let that pass, right?).
This same poll also indicated that the percent of people who don’t believe President Obama was born in America has fallen from 51% to 34%. Still remarkably high given all that has transpired in the past two weeks.
