Whacky political week. Democrats won a long standing Republican seat in New York by defending Medicare against Paul Ryan‘s plan to dismantle it. New York-26 has been an historically Republican district yet the voters elected a Democrat for the first time in decades.
Is this a referendum on Medicare? Is it a harbinger on things to come? Will the GOP suffer from this election? Will the Democrats capitalize on the weakness?
Also this week, Sarah Palin embarked on a bus tour through the northeast. Is it a hint of a presidential run? Or just a fake PR campaign?
