Songwriter and pioneer of Hip-hop Gil Scott-Heron died today from complications from an illness he picked up from a European trip. We did an article not long ago that chronicled the Egyptian revolution ‘The Revolution Will Be Tweeted‘ in contrast to his song ‘The Revolution Will Not Be Televised‘. I hate it when a relevant voice is silenced. Scott-Heron was 62.
