Well, what a week if you’re a stockbroker. Wall Street was like a rollercoaster where the governor had been disabled and the speed was in danger of running off the rails. Much of this as a result of Standard and Poor’s credit downgrade but some of it from a report of decreased unemployment claims out yesterday. The Dow lost and gained over 400 points each day this week.
Also, the Iowa battle begins with the debates last night and the Ames straw poll on Saturday. All the candidates are stumping hard. A few have met some resistance. Romney was heckled at an event. Rick Perry is expected to formally announce his candidacy this Saturday and, oh, and Sarah Palin showed up in her bus to grab as much spot light even though she’s not running. There will be more details on Saturday.
