Free Forum Friday May 20th Edition

Newt is glittered by gay activist

This week narrowed the political field a bit. Huck is out and Newt is in. Gingrich had a terrible week after his appearance on Meet the Press last Sunday where he criticized Representative Paul Ryan‘s budget plan and no amount of back-pedaling seems to be able to mitigate the damage. Ryan’s budget is turning out to be a damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-don’t proposition for the Republicans. It appears that the budget (passed unanimously by house Republicans) will come up for a Senate vote. That should be interesting to see who supports it after all the town hall outrage against it.

President Obama gave his middle east address and some are saying he threw Israel under the bus by suggesting that Israel honour the 1967 boundaries with Palestine.

And, of course, from the gossip column we learned of Governor Schwarzenegger‘s illegitimate love child that he managed to hide for over a decade. And we’ve had to endure endless punch lines from the talking heads using his old movie titles as a result.

Got a thought about last week? Let it all hang out.

Free Forum Fridays are an open discussion where commenters are invited to bring up topics that may not have been covered in the previous week. Got something on your mind? Throw your opinion out there.
